30 January 2019
On Friday 25th January Cardiff Green Party launched our Cardiff #ClimateEmergency campaign with a well attended and successful action on Westgate Street during the morning rush hour. We distributed leaflets and engaged with the public on the need for urgent local action to tackle the climate crisis. Cardiff Green Party are calling on Cardiff, Vale of Glamorgan and RCT councils recognise the Climate emergency and commit to real action on reducing emissions. The first stage of the campaign is a call for cleaner, greener, more sustainable and accesible public transport.
We are planning a second action on Saturday 9th February. We will be meeting at the Aneurin Bevan statue at the end of Queen Street at 11am. Placards and leaflets will be provided. Please do come along if you’re free and let others know who might be interested.
