Help Anthony's election campaign

In these challenging times, in the aftermath of a global pandemic, with the ongoing climate crisis, environmental degradation, enforced austerity and rampant inequality our Green voice is needed more than ever here in Wales. In a future of increasingly devolved powers we need elected Green representation at every level of government, challenging, scrutinising and shaping the decisions that affect us all.

This is an exciting time for Wales Green Party. In the coming Westminster general election we will be running our biggest ever general election campaign across Wales laying the foundations for the next few years and our vital campaign to get Greens elected to the Senedd in 2026 and more Green councillors elected across Wales in 2027.

I put myself forward as the Green Party’s prospective parliamentary candidate for the Cardiff South and Penarth constituency as I believe that I have the skills, experience and public profile needed to get our message heard and give voters the opportunity to vote for a party that has the joined up policies the multiple crises demand.

I have been an active WGP member and campaigner for over a decade both locally, in Cardiff and the Vale, and nationally across Wales. I am proud and privileged to be serving my second term as Wales Green Party leader, an office I have held since December 2018 having previously served two terms as Deputy.

I have represented WGP at many meetings and public events gaining valuable experience at promoting our values and policies to a wide variety of audiences. This has included debates with prominent Welsh politicians such as Leanne Wood, Mark Drakeford and many others. I have represented WGP many times on local and national television and radio, both live and pre-recorded. Over recent years I have also had extensive meetings with many Welsh NGOs and Third Sector organisations on a wide range of policy issues.
